The caption for this is “フジTV IRON CHEF スタジオで 服部校長と息子さん＆ムッシュ。。本番まえに・・” which Google translates into “Principal and son Hattori & Monsieur at Fuji TV IRON CHEF studio. . Before production …”
So Sakai is to appear on the new Iron chef at some point? (I have no idea how far in advance they actually film these episodes, so yeah.)

So I am
OBSESSEDIN LOVE WITHA BIG FAN of the original Iron Chef show that aired in Japan from 1993 to 1999. (I loved the weird specials they made after, too.)AND NOW FUJI TV IS RELAUNCHING THE SHOW! The link above has a source for the two new episodes that have been aired (Fuji TV is also reairing some of the older episodes of the prior show. :3) but they don’t have English subtitles.
Watching them anyhow and I’m pretty excited. It’s the ‘real’ Iron Chef vibe I loved from the original. The vibe that, I feel, the American version is completely lacking. I love you Alton Brown but you do not have the OVER THE TOP personality needed to be the excited commentator. Sorry man.
THERE IS GOLD AND GIANT STATUES AND WATERFALLS IN KITCHEN STADIUM! AHHHH!

And it’s a victory for the ch - nominee!
It was somewhat close with ony 1 judge difference - also, Michiba actually preferred the Iron Chef’s dishes over the nominee’s. But that doesn’t chage the fact he won - well done, Ito!
(And well done Kobe for not being the only Iron Chef to lose their debut episode anymore…)
